Dealing with defaults in Mainland China’s real estate sector is seeing a continuing trend. With background insights into the government policy objectives and a typical corporate/financing structure for onshore real estate developers, the reactions of onshore and offshore stakeholders in dealing with this will be explained. The panellists will also share their experience in handling the situation from the perspective of an investor/ creditor/advisor/ distressed company and discuss challenges facing stakeholders and opportunities available including loan sales, restructuring, debt recovery and enforcement actions.
