Lenny has over 45 years of experience in business bankruptcy law. He represents international and domestic investors in the acquisition and financing of financially distressed businesses; insurers in connection with mass tort, asbestos, environmental and products liability bankruptcy cases; and institutional creditors in complex commercial bankruptcy cases.

Jacques deLisle’s research and teaching focus on contemporary Chinese law and politics, including: legal reform and its relationship to economic reform and political change in China, the international status of Taiwan and cross-Strait relations, China’s engagement with the international order, legal and political issues in Hong Kong under Chinese rule, and U.S.-China relations.

His writings on these subjects appear in a variety of fora, including international relations journals, edited volumes of multidisciplinary scholarship, and Asian studies journals, as well as law reviews.

DeLisle is also a professor of political science, director of the Center for the Study of Contemporary China, co-director of the Center for Asian Law, and director of the Asia Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. He has served frequently as an expert witness on issues of P.R.C. law and government policies and is a consultant, lecturer and advisor to legal reform, development and education programs, primarily in China.

Viola has experience in advising on restructurings, insolvencies and workouts in a wide range of industries and jurisdictions.
She advises and assists debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, coordinating committees, creditors’ committees, debtors and insolvency practitioners on all aspects of financial restructuring and insolvency cases. Viola is highly experienced in advising steering committees of creditors on complex, cross-border financial restructurings involving PRC elements, and has particular experience in bankruptcy and insolvency litigation. Viola was voted Rising Star of the Year at the 2020 IFLR Asia Pacific Awards.

Andrew is an EY-Parthenon partner based in Hong Kong. He has been the EY China Restructuring Leader, having set up the EY China Corporate Restructuring team in 2007, which has over 50 members across eight offices in China.

In addition to taking court appointments in mainland China and Hong Kong, he’s advised cross-border restructuring cases with Chinese stakeholders in Europe, the US, South America and Australia.

Prior to his restructuring work, he gained experience in tax advisory in Australia, followed by a stint in Singapore and Hong Kong as a business advisor

Prior to being named Secretary, Richard Vague served as managing partner of Gabriel Investments and chair of the Governor's Woods Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic organization. 

Previously, he was co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Energy Plus, an electricity and natural gas supply company operating in states throughout the U.S. that was sold to NRG Energy in 2011. Secretary Vague was also co--founder and CEO of two credit card companies - First USA, which grew to be the largest Visa issuer in the industry and which was sold to Bank One in 1997, and Juniper Financial, the fastest growing credit card in its era, which was sold to Barclays PLC in 2004. 


He is the author of A Brief History of Doom, a chronicle of six major world financial crises, and The Next Economic Disaster, a book with a new approach for predicting and preventing financial crises.
