The fifth ADR Colloquium will take place on the morning of Monday 20 April alongside INSOL London. Previous events have been held in London in 2022, Tokyo, San Diego and during Paris Arbitration Week.
INSOL International established its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Group to promote the use of various forms of ADR in international insolvency and restructuring procedures. The Group’s overarching objective is to educate members about the type of ADR techniques that might be available in any particular type of case and to highlight the ways in which it has been used in cross-border insolvency or restructuring proceedings.
Please find the programme listed below. Judges attending the Judicial Colloquium alongside the conference, will be invited to join the keynote address and the session on mediation.
Keynote address
The keynote address will cover the fundamental principles underlying the use of mediation in a commercial setting, the various ways in which mediation can be conducted in such cases, and its use to supplement or enhance judicial decision-making.
Exploring how mediation can add value to insolvency proceedings
The panlel will address questions such as:
Envisioning insolvency related arbitration
This will be a dsicussion from the perspective of arbitrators on the topic of how commercial arbitration might be applied in the resolution of insolvency related disputes.

The cost to attend this meeting will be £280 +VAT for members and £330 +VAT for non-members of INSOL International. Members of the judiciary are invited to attend at no cost.
