Marc is Ogier's Global Head of Dispute Resolution. He is a Fellow of INSOL International and specialises in contentious restructuring and insolvency proceedings, commercial litigation, funds disputes and financial services claims involving fraud and breach of duty.
Marc's practice focuses on the restructuring and financial recovery of distressed Cayman Islands entities and offers commercial solutions to creditors, shareholders and beneficiaries of entities threatened with insolvency.
He regularly advises managers, directors, general partners, office holders and stakeholders as to the options available to them in cross-border insolvency, and as to the interplay between Cayman and onshore restructurings and insolvency proceedings. He also represents trustees, protectors and beneficiaries in relation to their rights under offshore trust arrangements, and shareholders of distressed funds in connection with disputes arising out, or in anticipation of, events of default or unpaid redemptions or capital calls.
Guilherme has gathered experience in the last few years in corporate and debt restructurings, mainly advising financial creditors and bondholders on workouts, recapitalizations, judicial and extrajudicial restructurings and other special situations. Guilherme also has experience in prevention and dispute resolution, representing clients in civil litigation and arbitration proceedings, with particular focus on commercial and corporate matters.
Nastascha Harduth is a Director and has been with Werksmans since 2008. She was admitted in 2010, and has been a director within the firm’s Insolvency, Business Rescue and Restructuring practice since 2014. Her legal practice focusses on business rescue and restructuring matters, but she has wide ranging experience in corporate insolvencies, dispute resolution and commercial litigation, as well as corporate debt recoveries. Nastascha often advises on the duties and responsibilities of directors, the risk of incurring personal liability, and how to mitigate it.
Her experience extends well beyond the South African jurisdiction, and includes cross-border experience in the United States of America, Mauritius, Seychelles, Zambia, Botswana and Lesotho.

Alex Lawson is a Managing Director and the Head of A&M Cayman Islands and is a qualified Cayman Islands Insolvency Practitioner.
He brings 15+ years of experience in restructuring and specializes in offshore and cross border engagements. His primary areas of concentration include hedge funds and PE funds, mining, oil and gas and alternative investments.
Mr. Lawson leads international teams focused on delivering bespoke solutions to maximize stakeholder returns across stressed to distressed situations involving complex cross-border cases. With a strong focus across all hedge funds and PE funds, international corporations and conglomerates, Mr. Lawson has developed a reputation as an industry leader in the offshore restructuring market and has been recognized as an expert in the field by “Who’s Who Legal.”
